Monty’s Suit Department

Several times recently we have had customers who bought suits who were astounded that we had a suit department on the lower ground floor and were unaware of it’s existence. They assumed we had just a few to display in the windows.

So, for any new customers to Montys or anyone that has forgotten our fab suit department – a quick recap !

Latest suit count – 712 suits ranging from £99.95 to £695.

Scott Suits

Our biggest supplier – Scott suits in 2 and 3 piece in a hard wearing blend of wool and polyester with many having a lycra thread to aid stretch. We have a large stock of mix and match 2 and 3 pieces in black, navy and grey with extra trousers available to help with wear. Scott suits are made in 3 different fits from skinny slimfits to more contemporary shapes and ultimately a classic fit. We have a huge stock of seasonal suits in various colourings. We start at 34″ chest and stock right through to 56″ in the shop, although up to 60″ is available from stock at Scott, and they start from just £99.95.

The Label

Label suits are all pure wool from the Scott and superbly made in a more robust selection of cloths and are ideal for general business wear. All of their suits are mix and match and waistcoats are in stock for some of the ranges. Prices vary from £299 to £349.

Hugo James

The main stay of our better end suits which retail for £399 to £595. Beautifully manufactured using the finest fabrics and luxurious satin linings and trimmings. Our core suit range is a plain Barberis cloth woven in Italy at 400 grammes in 6 colours that look the full Monty ! Most of the cloths are available in 2 and 3 piece with extra trousers always in stock. Our speciality from Hugos are their tweeds which range from £495 for a two piece up to £595 for a 3 piece suit. Admittedly our biggest stock is in the Autumn/Winter, but we try and keep a good range of patterns and sizes in the Spring / Summer too. Traditional Yorkshire and Scottish tweed cloths feature heavily and will last years if looked after. Flexibility is the name of the game as the 3 pieces can be worn not only together but separately.
