Suit Care Instructions

We are often asked for guidance concerning the care one should give to good quality suits, jackets and trousers.

We would suggest the following:

All clothing deserves to be well looked after in order to maintain it’s elegance and quality over time. Your favourite item will reward you with many years of service if you take a small amount of care.

We would recommend that any item should be dry cleaned only and occasionally by a specialist dry cleaner and that you do not wear your suit, jacket or trousers for more then 2-3 consecutive days to give the garment a chance to recover.

After wear, the various fabrics will regain their original appearance if the jacket and trousers are simply hung on a normal hanger, if possible, in a well ventilated and slightly humid room.

If possible, always remove jackets if sitting for a lengthy period of time, particularly car journeys to avoid impressed creasing which can be difficult to remove.
